I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in English and a special focus on creative writing. I have worked as a tutor for over six years now and can offer flexible scheduling, sessions of any length and the student's choice of in-person or virtual meetings.
I love the type of work I do because with every session, I feel like I am truly helping someone. I enjoy seeing students continue to grow in their academic development, especially if we can enjoy the material.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, we will chat for a few minutes just to introduce ourselves and become familiar, and then I will get a sense of where the student is in his or her academic career and what he or she would like to work on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from UMass Lowell in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is typically $40 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring students on a freelance basis immediately after graduating from UMass Lowell.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to college levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of the first students I ever worked with was coming into her senior year of high school, and we worked together consistently - mostly in academic writing - for five years. This student recently graduated from Endicott College with a stellar GPA and now has a thriving career, and I could not be prouder of this student's journey.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say don't be afraid to ask questions and consult with potential teachers or tutors before making a decision. Speaking for myself, I am more than happy to chat with potential students and discuss my background and experience as well as what the student is hoping to accomplish.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider where they are in their academic careers and what area they are looking for assistance in.
