Personal Tutoring

I'm a current undergraduate student at UMass Amherst, majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. I have 5+ years in all kinds of tutoring, ranging from private tutoring to volunteer tutoring at the local Kumon center. I have experience tutoring in mathematics, programming languages, English-Second language for Mandarin speakers, history, chemistry, and more. I've guided pre-K students through reading exercises, refined the multiplication tables with 3rd graders, reviewed and restated history content in more comprehensible terms, taught trigonometry and programming to 9th graders, and etc!

I am a Dean's List student at my university, and I've been a top performer in all subjects consistently all throughout my academic career. My test scores have always been above average: my SAT was 1510, my ACT was 32, and I scored all 4s and above for my 8 AP courses.

I always work to get to know my students personally in order to make learning more fun for everyone! I'm a very friendly and relaxed person, and for students who may be more intimidated about learning, I can approach them with an open mind and an understanding attitude. Learning is hard, and I make it my mission to teach in a concise manner while also making sure to go over topics of confusion with a simpler approach in order to insure my students truly understand the material! I am going to be your student's supporter no matter what, and parent feedback is always welcome! My teaching style is always open to be modified to fit my student the best.
