About
I am a licensed teacher. I have extensive training in literacy and helping students learn to read. I have been a teacher for the past 9 years working in both urban and suburban education. I love teaching students how to read as my passion is early literacy skills.
I utilize many different online platforms for online tutoring to make our sessions engaging and fun. My hope is that students feel confident when leaving our tutoring sessions and are able to transfer what they learn back into their classrooms or learning environment.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to find out what they are interested in first. I like to bring that into our tutoring sessions. I use hands on games and activities to keep my students engaged in the lesson. We work on things together and then there is always an application piece for students to practice what we went over.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed teacher. I have my undergraduate degree in early childhood education and my masters in education with a focus in special education.
