Hi, I'm Linda and I love to teach. I've got more than thirty years experience teaching ESL, creative writing, Spanish, English Literature, meditation, and more. I do my best to understand my students' skills and ability level, tapping into and building upon their current knowledge and skills. I bring patience and compassion to the learning process as I help my students' meet their goals.

I am a certified special education teacher (moderate disabilities) and I have been teaching since 2010. I have worked with many different students with many different learning styles and disabilities. I have taught reading, writing and math in all grades K-4. I love watching children’s confidence grow and enjoy seeing them get excited about learning.

I started tutoring Algebra over the phone when I was in junior high, and I kept tutoring math through high school. My first job after college was as a high school math teacher and learning center math tutor. I have since taught art and worked in education more broadly. I also am an education researcher and am writing about mathematical processes. I love helping others find that appreciation for their own way of thinking, their own way of learning, that makes the most sense for them. Then, by understaning math in their own terms, they get to enjoy the cool parts of math their way.
