What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Find out what the immediate assignment is and then see if it is part of something bigger such as a class or statement of purpose for a graduate program. This way we can work on a time frame for a repeat tutoring sessions. I also like to learn their learning style and, if it is high school students, find out if there is an IEP. It's also important to make sure they feel validated and human and not just a number or statistic.
