I work with the students to help them develop techniques so that they may become self sufficient in studying later on. I am also currently a student in grad school who was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic so I am well aware of the struggles students face with learning the material.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will begin first by understanding what is the student's current knowledge following that I will build from there and tailor the material and techniques to each individual student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently have a bachelors degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service where I majored in International Economics. While earning my Bachelors I worked as a Teaching assistant at my University and taught courses such as Calculus 1 and Intro to Micro/Macroeconomics. I am also a CRLA certified level 1 tutor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would normall charge on average about $18/hour.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly University freshmen or sophmores but I have also worked with High school seniors in the past.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always make sure that the tutor tailors the plan to your understanding and that they are working towards teaching you the techniques to learn the material on your own.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Ask them if they are willing to listen to what you think is the best study plan and if they are willing to collaborate on a future plan for you.
