About
I am a rising senior at Harvard studying Computer Science and Physics. I have been tutoring since 2018, and I am passionate about motivating my students. After studying so many things in both college and high school, I have become passionate about connecting the material my student is working through with their interests, whether it be a hobby, activity, or a long-term goal.
I have significant tutoring experience. After working as a teacher assistant for ESL and Math middle school while I was in high school, as a freshman at Harvard, I worked at the Harvard Allston Education Portal, where I learned numerous techniques to help me achieve a more professional level of teaching. Then, I tutored a bit in 2021 and also joined an SAT Prep Academy. Most recently, I was a Course Assistant for a college-level course on Systems Programming. Overall, I have learned many learning styles and have become even more flexible when teaching.
I not only want to ensure my student's basic understanding of a subject or their success on an assignment or exam, but I also want to give meaning and purpose to their effort. I believe motivation leads to students' fulfillment with their academic efforts and goals.
I teach both remotely and in-person. Feel free to always shoot me an email to [email protected] or text/call me at (914) 888-7334. I look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Number one, I like to set boundaries and expectations. I explain to them my role and introduce myself and what I do. Afterward, I try to get to know them a bit, what their interests and goals are. And I try to get them excited. Then, I set goals with them and schedule or a timeline. I want to be transparent and clear about each session, but also I am as flexible as they need me to be. From the beginning, I am attentive, responsive, proactive about the energy that the student gives me. For some students, I like to professionally be low-key and laid back as if I was their peer to wind down their stress and lift their mood. For others, I reciprocate their enthusiasm if they are motivated and determined, and I become as effective as possible to get them to achieve their goals. I always (always) celebrate their efforts, and I have special training to accomplish that effectively. Also, if a student is going to see me regularly, I like to establish a schedule and break down our goals for the process; I am super flexible each session. And if we are meeting only a few times, such as preparation for the SAT, I like to establish a set of specific goals and a timeline. I believe that a goal without a plan is just a wish, so overall, in addition to motivating and helping them, I encourage my students by breaking down tasks, setting different goals, and clearing up the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I specialize in high school subjects because that's what I have studied the most. I am only 19, so I am young and remember the entire high school experience alongside college applications and test preparation. So that gives me the first-hand experience to help high school students because I've been through it so recently, and I know what the process is like in and out. Furthermore, I remember how applying to Harvard felt like and how I prepared for my SATs and other AP classes. And I excelled in all materials ranging from Chemistry, Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, etc. I want to pass down my knowledge and experience as much as possible, so I like to tutor high school students the most. Furthermore, I have experience helping middle school students since I interned at my middle school as a teacher assistant for a month full time, and I worked with middle school students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, because of my recent first-hand experience with exams, applications, and different subjects, my background, and my training, I charge $50/session.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in high school. I appreciated the help that I received when I came to the United States and learned English. My teachers took time out of their pockets to help me out. So, after I was able to help others, I organized and recruited other students for the program to help middle school students in ESL. Afterward, I was a full-time teacher assistant my senior year. And then, I tutored with the Phillips Brooks House Association my first semester in college. And lastly, I worked in the Harvard Education Portal last summer.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have helped out middle schoolers and high schoolers. However, I, unfortunately, don't have experience with students who have special needs. I would not be qualified for that. But otherwise, I have helped out many students in different areas from 6th to 12th grade.
