About
I am a Harvard trained educator whose goal is to empower students by supporting their efforts to acheive academic excellence.
Teaching is my passion and as much as I love learning and subject matter, I believe that the goal of education is to provide students with opportunities for them to be their best selves, both in and beyond the classroom.
I studied Classical Studies and International Studies at Univresity of Florida. I taught middle and high school for four years and was awarded the equivalent of Teacher of the Year Award, a peer-nominated honor.
I am finishing my Master's Degree in Education at Harvard this year and my focus has been on the intersection of education and sports. As a former coach and lifelong athlete, I value the role that sports play in student development and I am here for students who have busy schedules, be it from sports, extra curriculars, or other commitments.
I love working with students becasue they have just as much to teach me as I do, them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin with a half-hour introductory session. Here, we get to know one another in order to start the tutor/tutee relationship on a more personal level. We also use this time to discuss goals for our time together, the material we will be working through, and make sure we are all set up for the first instructional session next time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Harvard-trained educator. I have tutored elementary-aged students and taught middle and high school students for four years before switching gears to work with collegiate student-athletes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60/hour.
$30/ half hour
After the introductory half-hour session, students typically meet for one hour per week. However, occasionally when a deadline for an assignment or test is approaching, we decide to meet one or two additional times as study sessions, and these sessions are usually half an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I like to joke that teaching chose me. Right before graduating from University of Flordia with dual undergraduate degrees in Classical Studies and Internatinoal Studies, I told my mom my next step involved motorcycling through Europe for a year. She "encouraged" me to apply for a job opening as a Latin teacher at the school she worked at and the rest is history.
