I have studied East Asian Studies for over ten years now, having done an MA, lived in East Asia for several years, and am now in the 7th, and final, year of my Ph.D. I am happy to help with skills on reading large quantities in short periods of time or how to stay focused on reading for long periods of time; writing (I love editing papers or helping students to think of essay topics and how to structure them); or, foreign or English language skills. I have speak upwards of five languages and have some language skills in an additional four languages. I also studied linguistics for part of my BA, and have worked a lot tutoring international students, so I can tutor in English language skills or structures of the English language, as well.

I have been working in these areas of study for a long time now, and I am happy to help others learn such skills. I have been a TA for college students in East Asian, History, and Philosophy courses at UCLA as well as at Harvard, where I have graded papers and exams, meet with students one on one to talk about readings and essay writing, and have also helped students concretely with essay writing and how to structure their essays as well as their thoughts in the most logical and persuasive manner. I have a teaching award for my TA work from Harvard as well as a teaching certificate that I gained from them on the side during my Ph.D. work.
