About
Have been tutoring and teaching organic chemistry at the college level for 4 years. Working as a college adjunct professor, teaching aide, supplemental instructor, and lab instructor for Orgo 1,2 and spectroscopic chemistry. Currently in school to complete my masters in organic chemistry while teaching a recession class in organic chemistry 1 and 2, 52 students currently in this class.
As a teacher, I enjoy making complicated subjects easy to understand focusing on the concepts needed for solution-based thinking and not rout memorization. Using the first principle method -used by the notable Elon Musk- inherently makes difficult subjects more manageable by breaking things down to their core truths and attacking the problem at individual parts to solve the whole.
Also working in the restaurant business for most of my life, I have developed a natural skill for communication allowing me to connecting with my students in a way that can be difficult in today's online atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with new students is about two things to me.
1. Understanding their needs as a student and their best innate learning pathway be it through clear subject definitions, problem-based classes with in-depth solution explanation, or someone who simply needs to be there to answer questions and help with studying techniques.
2. Setting goals to get value out of our tutoring sessions. I do not want to waste anyone's time and expect students to want to succeed at their desired subject and we do this by defining sucess and creating a plan to get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Current Masters student at MCPHSU for Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a focus on organic synthesis
Completed Bachelors in Chemistry
Lab instructor for Orgo 1,2 and spectroscopic chemistry teaching second-year orgo students and graduate level chemistry students in spectroscopy.
Supplemental instructor for Orgo 1 and 2
Organic chemistry lecture moderator
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The first session is 30 dollars usually consist of getting to know each other and setting goals for tutoring sessions in the future. Here I will come to understand their needs and develop a plan for future sessions along with the goals of what a successful session would look like from both points of view.
Second class and on will be 40 dollars each no exceptions, longer sessions may be planned out and asked about. These sessions are usually good for test weeks and pricing can be negotiated accordingly.
