Steps To Success Tutoring: SAT Prep, English, And Spanish
About
Above all, I strive to help students reach their goals, and I am a firm believer in ensuring each student can not only do well on a singular basis but feels prepared to succeed beyond the immediate coursework.
Having guided myself through the process of studying for and preparing for the SAT, I have a unique perspective on how to help students set reasonable goals they can achieve!
Additionally, I have served as either a high school tutor or college essay editor for the past 6 years, as well as a literary review editor. All of which will help me assist students in crafting the perfect essay!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically ask you to send me a short message prior to our session discussing what areas you would like to focus on during our session, as well as particular topics of interest if you have any. This will allow me to come to our session prepared to help!
Additionally, I ask that you send me a short list of your goals that you would like us to work towards together!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have served as a tutor for high school students over the past 6 years in varying capacities and for a variety of subjects. The majority of my tutoring has focused on SAT, Spanish, English, History, Essay Writing, and Biology.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $20 for 30 minutes or $35 for an hour.
This not only compensates me for the time during the tutoring session, but for the preparations I make prior to our sessions. I put together resources for students prior to a session centered around what they want to work on. This saves time during the session and allows us to focus on improving their knowledge.
How did you get started teaching?
I started out as a peer tutor in high school, and actually started a free peer tutoring program for my school to help assist students who could not afford to pay for tutoring.
