What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically like to get to know a new student's background, experience, and goals. Based on this, I try to tailor learning as much as I can to provide a unique, individualized experience that maximizes learning and challenges the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm currently a student at Northeastern University studying Computer Science and Business Administration, and I've also worked as a Software Development Intern for multiple summers at both large and small companies. I also teach a programming class about once a week to students ages 8 to 17.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $25 per 30 minutes of tutoring, but this may vary based on past experience and specific needs.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching by working with and helping other students with coursework, and I realized that it was something I enjoyed!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages, from elementary school to college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find somebody who is willing to work with you to achieve your unique, specific goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
