About
I am a twenty-eight year old that has dedicated her life to learning the world around her through the application and understanding of psychology.
I would like to show my students how concepts can be incorporated into their daily lives, making material easier to retain and apply when necessary. I am a patient teacher, who is comfortable approaching each student based on their individual learning style.
I have a BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, completes MS in Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as the beginnings of an MA degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I am also a member of Psi Chi, the International Honors Society for Psychology and a member of the American Psychological Association.
For my writing background--I am a two time published writer specializing in creative non-fiction and poetry. I have a minor in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and extensive understanding of self-expression through writing. I've scored perfect scores on both the SAT, and the GED (General, and Psych Subject) for my submitted essays.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In order to get an understanding of their learning style, as well as the specific material being covered, I will spend the first session discussing goals, fears, and any mental blocks to the material that there may be. Typically no less than $20 an hour, and no more than $40 an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a paid TA at the graduate school level and realized that I had a knack and passion for helping others develop a passion and understanding for the material being covered.
What types of students have you worked with?
Neuro diverse students, high school level, college level and grad school level students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find somebody that loves what they are teaching you. An individual with passion will always go the extra mile, exhibit more patience and have a positive attitude toward the subject as a whole.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What their specific abilities and limitations are when learning something new as well as any fears they may have. I am a physical learner meaning I have to take notes with pen and paper and I have fears surrounding test taking. Learning these obstacles helped me overcome them.
