Hi! I recently graduated with my BS in Health Sciences from UMass Boston. I have had previous experience tutoring during my time as a student peer mentor in which I helped college students understand class material and complete their research essays for a first-year seminar class. I am a very patient person and have always enjoyed helping others learn. I also understand that people learn in different ways so I accommodate my teaching skills to fit the needs of the individual I am tutoring. I have never worked for an actual tutoring company but I have tutored both elemtary and highschool students on the side in the Boston area.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I introduce myself and ask them what they would need help improving on. Then I would ask them how they learn best and use those strategies along with intorducing the student to new learning tactics in order to help them understand the subject they need help on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a highschool diploma and am currently enrolled in college so I have an educational back ground. I also work as a student peer mentor in a college seminar class and my role is to make sure I am able to answer any questions students have about the subject along with helping them write and edit their seminar research paper.
