Nathan Sparks Tutoring | Latin & Greek
About
After initially struggling with Latin as an undergraduate student, it clicked and I fell in love with it. I took Ancient Greek the following semester and after 15 years of studying Latin and Greek and teaching them full-time at Boston College High School and Jackson Hole Classical Academy for several more, I've stored up many tips and tricks for learning the classical languages, building vocabulary, and memorizing grammar and morphology.
I love exploring other worlds and the languages that open them up.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to first assess where a student is at with their Latin or Greek and discuss what their goals are for learning them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took my first Latin amd Greek courses as an undergrad student studying ancient philosophy and then later studied intensive Latin and Greek for a year at a university in Italy. After that, I earned a master's degree in the classical languages at Columbia University in New York City and subsequently taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced Latin and Greek (both classical and biblical) at a preparatory high school in Boston.
