Let's improve your English or French! I am dynamic language instructor of English as a Second Language and French with over 15 years of experience at all age levels: elementary, secondary, post-secondary (University and Adult Education). I work closely with my students and I differentiate my instruction to help students achieve their individual language goals. I offer individual and small group lessons with a focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels in ESL. I have taught ESL to students from countries all over the world. I work with students to improve their English skills in the workplace, at school (grades/ test scores/overall academics) or simply to enhance their communication skills in their daily lives.

I also teach private French lessons to students at the elementary, secondary (French 1- AP French), university levels as well as to adult learners. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Colby College in French and Education and as a Master's in French Literature from Boston University. In addition, I studied at the Université de Paris, La Sorbonne and was the recipient of the French Award at Colby College upon graduation. I taught French at Bodton University, Dean College, and at several of the highest ranked public schools in Massachusetts (Westborough, Concord and Weston). Currently, I hold Massachusetts' Teaching Certificates in French and in Secondary School Administration (Principal/Assistant Principal).

    I always work closely with my new students to determine their individual learning needs, their language level and their desired outcomes. It is also important to decide together the best place in which to tutor and exactly how many sessions my student (s) needs. 

    I earned a Bachelor's degree in French and Education from Colby College. I studied at the Université de Paris, La Sorbonne during my Junior year. Upon graduating, I was the recipient of the French Award at Colby College. I received a full scholarship to study French Literature at the graduate level Boston University and a stipend with a Teaching Fellowship. I earned my Master's in French Literature at BU. I have over 15 years experience teaching all levels of French and ESL in both private and public schools. I have also worked as a school administrator in the Massachusetts' and in the Rhode Island Public Schools. 

    Presently, I hold active Massachusetts Teacher Certificates and have taught at some the highest ranked public schools in the state including Westborough, Concord and Weston. 

    I am dynamic teacher with a true passion for languages. I return yearly to France to maintain my  French. 

    I work with my students individually to determine pricing based on their learning needs and goals.

    I started teaching because I loved learning and I was also influenced by exceptional teachers. 

    I have worked with students of all education levels: elementary, secondary, post-secondary and university. I have taught French and ESL to students who struggle with learning challenges, various learning styles and to gifted students. I have taught English as a Second Language to students from countries all over the world. 

    I adore my four year old cockapoo named Phoebe. Her name means brilliant in Greek. However, I am convinced she thinks she is a person rather than a dog. She is fun loving and adorable but she is definitely not an over achiever

    and always up to no good. Yesterday, we were driving home from our daily visit to the dog park when I looked over at her in the front seat and she  actually wearing the seat belt! There is now no doubt in my mind that she thinks she is a person...

    When looking for a highly qualified teacher, it is important to not only know their credentials but also to review their teaching experience. 

    We all learn differently and I think it is essential for students to think about what they need in order to be successful. Students should as themselves how they learn best and exactly what they hope to accomplish. It also important for students to reflect upon what they do well and what areas they need help improving.
