About
I have a variety of experiences related to literacy that guide my private tutoring sessions. I am certified in the Preventing Academic Failure program, which is a reading intervention program that also has spelling components. Additionally, I previously worked as an assistant teacher at a school for children with language-based learning disabilities. I have also been involved with research related to literacy and motivation. Currently, I am studying to be a Speech-Language Pathologist with preparation for licensure as a Reading Specialist as well.
Watching students progress through individualized services is an extremely gratifying experience. I am incredibly passionate about the work I do and I feel very lucky that I am able to do what I love, which is helping students reach their full potential.
