Tayla's Tutoring Service
About
Hello! Hope all is well!
I am a 18 year old local high school graduate. I just graduated with honors and a year of college credits. I will be majoring in Health and Wellness in the fall. I tutored through the pandemic, as a National Honor Society volunteer, and I have seen first hand the mental health and academic impacts of this pandemic. That is why, I focus on a more holistic tutoring approach, looking at academic success from the lens of bettering a student's mental, physical, and emotional health simultaneously. I am very passionate about helping students make use of their resources, and teaching them how to take care of themselves while striving for their best academically. I have designed two remote learning survival guides, which are tools to help kids navigate remote learning. And I often use these guides in tutoring sessions regardless of remote learning. I also specialize in organization and time management skills. I hope I can be of help!
I love helping others! I know what it's like to struggle, and I just want to share the lessons I've learned, and the rescources I've have discovered on my journey.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first like to get to know my student. If they have any special interests, if they feel overwhelmed by their school work, and anything specifically they need help on. Then, I typically, lay out what they will need each session to be prepared. Which will be: an agenda, pen, and paper. Second session, for just 5 minutes, I like to set small goals with the student, so that they can see their progress. Little by little, each session, my goal is help the student breakdown the instructions on assignments, create a catch up schedule, help them get organized, and of course help them start and finish difficult assignments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
