Hello! My name is Erin and I have taught in kindergarten through second grade for six years. I am an enthusiastic elementary and early childhood educator who believes children learn best when learning is joyful, high-energy, and interest-based.
I am passionate about teaching children to become confident and independent readers and writers. I know that reading and writing can be enjoyable for any child if they are given the right tools. As a trained teacher, I can determine your child's present level of understanding and tailor instruction to help them meet their learning goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Initial Phone or Zoom Call With Parent: We will discuss your child's needs and your hopes for tutoring services.
Getting to Know You Session with Student: In our first session, I will get to know your child both academically and as an individual. I will do simple assessments to gauge their learning level and will also learn about their interests, likes, and dislikes.
Initial Plan for Tutoring: After I meet with your child, I will develop a plan for tutoring. If you are in agreement with the plan we will begin tutoring services!
Tutoring Sessions (30, 45, and 60 minute sessions available): We will begin tutoring sessions and check-in regularly about your child's progress.
