Carlotta's Tutoring

I am a recent college graduate from Tulane University with over ten years of experience working as both a private tutor (10 years), a Teach for America virtual instructor (4 years), and college writing mentor (2 years). I majored in English and am near fluent in Spanish, I have worked in New Orleans public schools as an ESL instructor and Spanish teaching assistant. Given my recent graduation, all K-12 and college materials are very fresh in my mind. I love getting to know my students and seeing them learn to move through challenging concepts, lighting up as they understand a new topic. I make sure to tailor my teaching style to each individual student, and am very receptive to parental and student feedback. As a tutor, my goal is for students to not only learn the material, but also to approach learning as an engaging, fun, and dynamic experience.
