About
Together we can! Whatever it takes! No Excuses! It doesn’t matter if at first you didn’t succeed, nothing is hard when everything is able to be “comprehended”. Don’t just understand, fully grasp the topic at hand then explain it in your own words. Still don’t get it? Well hello my name is Michael Dales and growing up school came easy to me. Well that wasn’t until someone “cared” enough to break the topic down for me. I believe in deconstructing topics and rebuilding a persons understanding through the use of visuals and analogies. I feel confident at the moment to help anyone from K-12 so just give me a call!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we introduce ourselves and then i ask basic questions to see where their education is based off of their grade level. From that point i can determine which techniques to employ to make the current topic easier. Example: 12 x 5 = 60 or we simplify it, take the 2 away from 12 and make two separate equations : 10 x 5 and 2 x 5. Then you cand just add 50 + 10 and get 60 like that. Eventually you should be able to apply this practice by simly reverse engineering whatever problem comes your way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was born in New Orleans and then moved to Arlington, Texas after hurricane katrina occured. I was 8 at the time and where i came from I was the smartest in class. The problem came when we settled in our new place and I went to my new school where I experienced soul - crushing defeat. Tears filled my eyes with a raised hand for I could not understand the curriculum that the texas students were undergoing. After a day of tutoring I soared past everyone else just with the help of someone who cared enough to break the topics down to me. From then on i would move about every 4 years experiencing a total of 7 different texas schools varying with different resources , teaching practices and high/low motivated atmospheres. So now at the age of 23, with 2 years of online college experience, I feel as though i know what it takes to help a student succeed past their mental chains and doubt in their ability to be able to finish anything. You can be “anything” no matter the obstacles within your way.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Im thinking of starting off at 5$ or 10$ a session for now so people can get a feel for my teaching process. I might do open class sessions so other students may sit in and learn how to simplify past or future subjects allowing them to further their own education even if it isn’t their school work.
How did you get started teaching?
People kept telling me I would be a great teacher but I have an unorthodox style so I felt I wouldn’t fit into the standard edu system. But now people are being home schooled anyway so why not create my own learning environment.
What types of students have you worked with?
K-12 I have helped my classmates all my life and I currently help a third, seventh, and 9th grader since they are family.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
2020 does not have too many events but did enjoy my late mothers birthday🙏🏾💛
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say don’t let this world confuse you. Just because somethin looks fancy doesn’t mean you can’t see through excess information. If you don’t know a word “google” it. If you don't feel right about something that someone told you, “google” it. Seek for individual understanding and comprehension but don’t become cocky and content. Everyone has a perspective to offer especially through the eyes of the wise who have lived before us.
