About

I was the kid who took things apart to see how they worked. As I got older that passion and drive for understanding grew to include all aspects of the natural world. This led me to pursue a life as a physicist. It also led me to want to share the knowledge I have accumulated with the next generation of young minds that come after me. As Carl Sagan, who is perhaps the greatest science communicator of the 20th century put it, “science is a collaborative enterprise spanning the generations”.

As someone who struggled early on with mathematics, I understand that not every student learns the same way. As a physics major at Louisiana State University (LSU) I often led study groups because I had the ability to present the material in unique ways that helped my classmates grasp the underlying concepts that might have been eluding them.

I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU’s Department of Physics and Astronomy in the spring of 2020 with a 3.6 GPA. As of the fall of 2020 I will be attending LSU’s Graduate program to earn my PhD in astrophysics. I have also co-authored papers published in the Journal of Applied Physics.

I love seeing that "ah-ha" moment when concepts click and a person understands something that has been holding them back.
