Stephanie McCarthy

Hello. I’ve been an English tutor for six years and a homeschooling mom for twelve years. I currently work both independently and as a teacher at Learning with Laurie, a homeschool/tutoring center in Mandeville, Louisiana. I have a BA in English Literature.

From working with students of all ages, I’ve learned to adapt tutoring to meet varying degrees of proficiency. I also try to adapt instruction to a student’s individual style of learning. From working with my own daughter, I think I’ve developed quite a lot of patience as well. I hope I can help others to develop their own proficiency in English and improve their writing skills.
