About

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for teaching English. My love for reading and writing translated to perfect scores on the ACT in English and Reading, and I have spent the last seven years helping students achieve their own ELA goals. I graduated high school in 2018 and went on to accept an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point where I was a certified English and History tutor for struggling cadets. I have worked with students at every age and skill level from Pre-K through graduate school and am confident that I can satisfy you or your child's tutoring needs.

Frequently asked questions

I typically offer a complimentary introduction session so that I am able to gauge the current ability of the student that I am working with. During this session, it is ideal if the parent or student comes prepared with samples of their past work. From there, we will discuss and establish a "plan" that encompasses the frequency in which the student would like to meet, the goals or objectives of the student, and finally, how we should best accomplish those goals. This process not only improves the structure of future sessions but also improves the student's organizational skills.

I graduated high school with above a 4.0 GPA and perfect scores on both the Reading and English sections of the ACT. After high school, I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where I was a certified cadet-tutor for English and History.

While pricing varies depending on age and material, my hourly rate is ~$25 for online sessions or sessions conducted at my home and ~$45 if I must travel.

I began teaching at the request of several of my sports coaches who needed my help to ensure athletes remained eligible. After seeing the impact that I had on my teammates, I realized that tutoring was both enjoyable and rewarding. Because of this, I began offering standardized test tutoring to students at my school for service hours.

I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. My youngest student is five years old, and I frequently work with graduate level students. I also have extensive experience working with special needs students.
