What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Please note my steps for screening potential students:
1. Phone interview/ introduction
2. Review any records that might be pertinent, provided by parent/ guardian
3. Second phone interview or meet in person to establish relationship and/or answer questions
4. Sign informal contracts/ review policies/ set goals and discuss instructional techniques
Typically after several weeks I ask to meet in person with parent/ guardian to review progress/ review expectations and goals
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 22+ years experience teaching in public and private schools. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have consulted with and for school districts/ administrators/ teachers.
