Weve been working with Liz twice a week for a month now and it has been such a wonderful experience. When we started our 7th grader was in pre-algebra, feeling defeated, lack of confidence, and lacking some fundamentals, and now she is confident, feeling incredible, and carrying an A in math. Liz takes the time to work with her and shows so much patience. She is sweet, funny, kind, and very knowledgeable about all levels of math. She has a warm personality and my daughter loves meeting with her each week. We feel so lucky to have found Liz! We cant thank you enough :)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Please note my steps for screening potential students:

1. Phone interview/ introduction

2. Review any records that might be pertinent, provided by parent/ guardian

3. Second phone interview or meet in person to establish relationship and/or answer questions

4. Sign informal contracts/ review policies/ set goals and discuss instructional techniques

Typically after several weeks I ask to meet in person with parent/ guardian to review progress/ review expectations and goals

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 22+ years experience teaching in public and private schools. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have consulted with and for school districts/ administrators/ teachers.
