With over 25 years of experience teaching English in college prep high schools, I can offer students guidance in study skills, reading comprehension and writing comprehensively.

I taught middle school math & ELA for over 20 years here in Louisville, KY. Three of those years I taught math virtually.

I combine fun activities with educational experiences and my passion for teaching shows every time we’re together. My kiddos grow in all content areas as our school data shows. I love it when students talk to me and share their interests and their life. I love their stories and love making lessons relevant to their lives.

I am a retired teacher with 22 years of experience. I have a master’s degree in teaching English and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I have taught English, Creature Writing, and Humanities at the middle and high school levels. I also worked with special needs children, developing curriculum and creating Individual Education Plans. I have missed the interaction of working with students and establishing and adapting their learning styles. Perhaps the thing I miss the most is watching a student understand that they can excel at things that have previously found challenging.
