Tutoring R Us
About
Hello! I'm a native English speaker, and I am currently a high school junior taking AP English and Composition, which is college level English. I've been in honors English courses previous to my junior year, with a mixture of A's and B's in those courses respectively. In my 8th grade year, I won both the local school and regional Optimist Speech Club Competition with first place in both. I hope I can help you to pursue/ discover your love for English! English can be tricky at times, but in the end once you get a hang for it it's a lot of fun to read and write! I will help you to achieve your goals by giving feedback on writing pieces, help with grammar if needed, and help you to spark creative ideas for writing!
I love helping others to develop and express their love for English, and to watch them grow and improve along the way!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I'll ask them for their goals with writing and English and get a feel of what they want/need help with, along with considering their goals of how to improve their English. Then, I'll work with them to achieve those goals little by little!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken Honors English classes with high grades prior to my junior year, ( this year ), and I'm currently in AP English and Composition, which is college level English.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. I charge anywhere from $10-$15 per hour, depending on the student's needs and what they can afford.
How did you get started teaching?
I have helped my siblings and others with English in the past, and that helped me to discover my love for helping and inspiring others to develop a passion for English.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would look at their pricing if there's any, and if they can afford that. Then, I'd see if they can help you to reach your goals and if their tutoring style can cater to their needs. It's a process!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, I think the student should consider how to bring the topic up, and whenever the time feels appropriate to do so. And, I'd consider thinking beforehand if and how your individual tutor/ teacher can cater to your needs.
