Hi! My name is Elena and I am currently in my 6th year as a special education teacher at the middle and high school grade levels. I have Bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education (K-5) and Special Education LBD (P-12) and a Master's degree in Special Education MSD (P-12). I hold an active teaching license in each of these areas and have experience teaching: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, & Career Skills. My background in special education allows me an advantage in tailoring instruction specifically to an individual's unique learning needs. I help my students capitalize on their existing strengths while encouraging productivity and progress in areas of need. In addition to content instruction, I strive to naturally embed encouragement of confidence and independence along with development of executive functioning and organizational skills.
