About
Hello! My name is Syd (Mr. Sorensen during the school year) and I am a huge history buff! I am qualified to teach 6-12 grade US history, World history, government, civics and economics. My specialty is 6-8th grade world/US history and geography. Learning looks different for all students and I pride myself in being flexible enough to match all my students needs. I have been teaching for 4 years with 3 years experience as a para educator prior to completing my bachelors in education. I believe a successful student is a student who puts in their best effort every time! I welcome and encourage parental/adult involvement in my methods, and I strongly believe that we all have the same goal in mind! My goal is for students to feel successful and strong in academics and not be afraid to ask questions!
