I am committed to helping students learn and inprove by creating an individual plan for each client based on their personal learning style. I do not use a "one size fits all" approach. I have worked in colleges and universities for over thirty years, with students of all ages and backgrounds. I have an M.S. in Counseling and Human Development from Radford University and a B.A. in Humanities. I want to put my experience to work helping you succeed in your education! My love of tutoring comes from helping people to realize that they can improve their learning skills and reach their educational goals no matter how big or how small....

I love reading and writing, and that translates to my teaching and tutoring! I feel that my love for language arts, writing, and reading has fueled my passion for teaching others. I have been tutoring school-aged students for over five years, and have great success with helping my students progress in their ability to write and read at different levels. I specialize in essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar, literature arts and college applications.

I have been teaching for 13 years. I am currently a first grade teacher with experience in Kindergarten - second grade. I have a masters in building leadership and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) endorsed. I enjoy encouraging and motivating students to learn. I like using data to meet students needs. I strive for students to create obtainable goals and that it takes hard work to achieve those goals. I believe in a growth mindset and support students in understanding they may not be where they want to be YET, but will get there! I love getting students to understand we can learn anywhere and not just the classroom!

As a Nurse Pracititioner, certified diabetes educator and a health coach, I can help guide folks in living a healthy life. i offer indiviudalized care and meal planning, group classes and cooking classes. I offer ongoing support by leading a Healthy living group that meets once a month and gives them ongoing health eduction, recipes and meal planning guides.

I love school and love to learn. I use lots of study techniques and would love to share them with others. I can help with math ( Algebra, Geometry), History( Roman, American and World), Biology and Book studies including breaking up and analyzing a story.
