I have been teaching for 13 years. I am currently a first grade teacher with experience in Kindergarten - second grade. I have a masters in building leadership and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) endorsed. I enjoy encouraging and motivating students to learn. I like using data to meet students needs. I strive for students to create obtainable goals and that it takes hard work to achieve those goals. I believe in a growth mindset and support students in understanding they may not be where they want to be YET, but will get there! I love getting students to understand we can learn anywhere and not just the classroom!

I love reading and writing, and that translates to my teaching and tutoring! I feel that my love for language arts, writing, and reading has fueled my passion for teaching others. I have been tutoring school-aged students for over five years, and have great success with helping my students progress in their ability to write and read at different levels.
