Paul Thurbon

I recently quit my job working at an insurance company and have decided to make a career as a math tutor. It is something I truly enjoy and am exceptionally good at due to my experience, skills, and education.

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics. I have tutored elementary through high school students at two different tutoring centers (A+ Learning Center in Topeka, KS and Mathnasium in the Kansas City area). I have also worked as an elementary school aide where I taught reading and math to small groups of students from kindergarten through 6th grade.

I have additional experience working with kids as a Boy Scout leader, camp counselor, and substitute teacher. These additional experiences have taught me how to connect with students on a personal level and help motivate them to achieve their full potential. I work well with students of all levels and abilities. I also worked as a writing tutor for fellow college students while I was in college.
