I always tailor my lessons to the needs of my students. Based on your goals, I will personalize the lesson to uniquely meet your learning objectives.
I love teaching languages. It is an amazing opportunity to learn so much more about the world and its many peoples. Sharing what I know and helping my students to master a new language adds much joy to my days. I also enjoy using music to add extra fun to my lessons.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My 1st lesson is always free. Before your first lesson, I ask questions about your language goals and current level and experience so I can better tailor the lesson to best meet your needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters of Science in Education.
How did you get started teaching?
My dream as a child was to be bilingual. I love helping other people to reach that dream, as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my career has been spent with emergent bilinguals learning English at the elementary level. I also have experience teaching foreign language at the middle school level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask about daily use of English and Spanish. You want to ensure that your tutor is staying up to date with the language because languages change over time. You also want to be sure your tutor's language skills haven't gotten rusty from a lack of interaction with native speakers in one of their languages.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What goals do you have as a language learner? Is your goal learning Spanish or English for travel, using the language with clients in the workplace, for support in a class at school? Do you have a long term goal of becoming bilingual?
