I truely enjoy working with students 1 on 1 or in a small group. It gives me a chance understand and work with students to help fill in the gaps of their understanding.
I have 16+ years of experience working in the Kansas City metro area including multiple years in the urban core. I love working with students and focusing my attention on their indiviual needs. Seeing a student gain understanding is something that I enjoy.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with an icebreaker, asking about hobbies, favorite subject, family. Introduce myself. Ask their opionions on the subject they are getting tutoring. Go over reward system that I will be using.
Give a formal assessment to get a baseline of the skills that the student is missing. I can create lessons from this information.
The last part of the lesson will be playing a learning game or review.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 16 year certified teaching veteran in elementary education.
