Krista Konigmacher
About
Hi! My name is Krista and I have been working in education since 2008. I have worked with regular and special education students of all ages/grades as a paraeducator, reading instructional assistant and a certified language arts teacher for grades 5-9.
I have 8 years of experience working with students with special needs, from 5th-12th grade. I also have 2 years of specific reading instructional experience, teaching 2nd-6th grade small groups comprised of students with low reading test scores and those who struggle with reading comprehension.
I have a bachelors degree in Communication (2013) and a Masters degree in Education/Organizational Leadership (2016), both from Newman University in Wichita, KS. I earned my middle school language arts certification in 2020 from Avila University.
I love working with students to find their strengths so that we can use those to our advantage when working on something they struggle with. My favorite areas to teach are reading and writing!
