Maddie Pieropan Tutoring

Hi! My name is Maddie and I am a current High School Senior. I will be attending the University of Iowa this fall, and will be double majoring in Political Science and Statistics with a minor in French. I LOVE writing and languages, politics, and statistics most of all, but I have developed very efficient and effective study habits that not only make me a fast learner, but mean I can tutor in most anything!

My style of tutoring tries to share my study habits to provide a starting point for each of my students to develop study habits that are effective for their styles of learning. I value communication, and really try to structure my lessons through however best my student learns. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

I am proficient in French, Italian, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. I was raised speaking English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian at home with family and friends, and have been learning French since 5th grade, currently completing my proficiency. I can help with vocabulary, writing, and grammar, but also am very happy to help in conversational practice, and believe that it is one of the most important yet underrated facets of learning a new language.

I received a 34 on the Reading section of the ACT, and have always had a passion for reading. There are many strategies I have learned along the way for reading comprehension, mostly through AP Language and Literature classes, and can help in sharing those strategies.
