About
I focus on teaching my students not only “what” to learn but “how” to learn. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve noticed that students often don’t have the study skills and strategies necessary to be successful in their education. It’s not that they can’t or don’t want to learn something, it’s that they haven’t yet (keyword!) been given the tools to know how to learn it. They struggle with disorganization, time-management issues and study/test-taking skills. I incorporate these important life skills into everything I teach! I consider learning to be a lifelong process that never, ever stops. I enjoy helping my students succeed academically - celebrate their strengths & zero-in on areas where they struggle, feel good about themselves and embrace learning throughout their lifetime. I hope to have an opportunity to work with your child soon!
