About

I tutor students in all grades, as well as in all subjects. I pick apart every student's brain to understand how exactly they learn best then apply it to their education. If there are any behavioral or learning disabilities with the student I would be of great help to them, as I have experience. I have been tutoring for about a year now. I absolutely adore teaching students through the comfort of their own homes. Everything I do is virtual, in case transportation may come up as an issue as well as COVID-19. I do my job very well as I take into great consideration the specific ways of learning for each individual.

She explains things in such a way that is so understandable for a multitude of topics. She helped me raise my grades in language, English, and mathematic classes. I referred her to other students because she’s so effective! The received the same positive results!

    Frequently asked questions

I start the first session by asking the student or parent what type of learner he/she is. I then ask the student what all they do know in the topic we would be discussing. I would be focusing on what they already know first, then slowly escalating the topic into more difficult material. Usually, after a few sessions I have the student knowing more material studied and known than needed. All of my past students has either ended up being a grade ahead in the subject or moving at a faster pace than other students in the subject.

I have spent the past 5 years taking care of my little sister who is 18 years old but has the mental age of a 3-7 year old. She has severe medical conditions as well as both behavioral and learning disabilities. She has never been taught inside of a school building. All of her education, which is up to third grade, has came from me teaching her. I also have a little brother who is 13 who also has severe behavioral and learning disabilities. He would usually not sit down with anybody else other than me to help him with his schoolwork. This is because I am the only one we know who understands how to teach him and how he learns. I also plan on pursuing my dream job becoming an ABA Therapist in the near future.

Because of COVID-19 happening and draining most families financially, I have decided to change my pricing system to a set amount of $15 per session. I also make sure that the students and/or parents know that if my cost is too high for them, that they can lower it to whatever amount is closest to the original cost that they both can afford and are comfortable with.

Originally, I started posting on Facebook and everywhere I knew a social media platform that I was offering tutoring help. I also have flyers made informing others about my service. I then had created a part time schedule with all my students. With teaching both of my singalongs with severe behavioral and learning disabilities before I got into tutoring other students, I had already opened a new teaching chapter in my life.

I have worked with two students who have ADHD, ADD, anxiety, behavioral disabilities, and other learning disabilities. Age wise, I have worked with students ranging from ages 5-18.

I was on vacation a couple weeks ago and I was still teaching my family members who are 5 and 7 years old. It was my favorite thing I did on vacation because of how happy I made both of the little girls laugh and enjoy learning. Both of the children were even excited to get home and do "homework!"

Pay careful attention to how closely tutors study your learning abilities. If they don't pay much attention to how you learn, they are not going to be much help to you. Make sure they ask you questions about your strengths weaknesses with learning.

•Do I have the confidence to be wrong about an answer in front of this teacher?
•Do I know my own abilities in learning?
•What kind of learner am I?
•Am I ready to tell others I need a lot of help with this?
•Am I okay with others knowing I need help?
