Sky High Math Tutoring
About
I'm Sky! I graduated college with a B.S. in Psychology, and a minor in Sociology when I was 19 years old. Throughout high school, I tutored and taught math, biology, and Spanish classes. I also tutored math classes in college. Now, I am going for my Master's in Media Psychology while tutoring and teaching on the side.
I have been tutoring for about ten years now and teaching for about five years. What I love most about tutoring is being able to help students understand content from a student-to-student standpoint, rather than teacher-to-student. Showing students how I learned the subject and topic they are struggling with tends to help better than teaching them in one way only as most teachers do. This is why I use this approach when I am both teaching and tutoring. However, this can be worked around as needed, as each individual's learning style is different, but I am ready to help you whichever way possible.
I can help with Math (Basic Math, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry), Spanish, Biology, and Organization (how to organize your workload).
I started tutoring Calculus when I was in 6th grade and, since then, have kept up with tutoring a variety of math classes, including Elementary Math, Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Personal Finance, Probability, and Statistics. I also have an advanced understanding of specific programs such as Microsoft Excel if that is needed.

How did you get started teaching?
I tutored for a few months before I was asked to be a student teacher then leading into teaching all together when I was in 10th grade. I was homeschooled in high school, and I was teaching 2 to 3 classes daily. Since then I have taught classes on and off and have remained tutoring consistently
