About
I am a bilingual educator who has worked with students of all different learning styles. Growing up as an English Language Learner (Spanish is my first language) I was brought up to always strive to not only be bilingual but also biliterate. I strive to find out the learning style for each of my students to help them understand and learn the material in a more comfortable and successful way.
I have experience with teaching many subjects, but pride myself in teaching these subjects in both English and Spanish.
I have worked with early education all the way to high school students, and have also had the pleasure of helping college age students prepare for speeches, tests, and even job interviews.
I have almost 10 years of experience in classrooms, youth mentorship programs & currently serve as a youth & young adult leader at my church, which often means I’m keeping up with my student’s school work as well.
Most recently I have worked as an administrator in an early learning center, where one of my main focus was an education specialist, which meant I partnered with the teachers to build and implement curriculum. Along with overseeing curriculum I was teaching the teachers how to integrate new ways of teaching which often meant helping adults relearn the material in a new way.
I encourage frequent and open communication with parents/guardians so that we as a team can help students succeed!
