Hi there! My name is Halle Throgmorton and I am a special education teaching assistant at the elementary level based in Carmel, IN. I have over three years of classroom experience dealing with all sorts of curriculum. I am currently attending Grand Canyon University, earning my special and elementary education degree. My passion in life is helping kids excel in academics and I pride myself on my dedication and individualized teaching style.

One of my greatest strengths as an educator is meeting each student’s unique needs by developing a personal understanding of each one of them. I am able to achieve this by seeing and assessing my students as individuals and tailoring lesson plans to accommodate multiple intelligences. Furthermore, I ensure that I utilize innovative strategies to introduce new concepts, establish a connection between the classroom and everyday life, and foster an engaging learning atmosphere. Helping new students raise their scores and providing handholding guidance where I am available 24 x 7 to assist them.

I currently am an instruction assistant at adams elementary school.. I work with essential skills for kids ranging from kindergarten to third grade. I assist with all subjects and help build structure and organization in their everyday routine. I have also had experience teaching my own classroom in Istanbul, Turkey at a private tutoring school for English as second language ranging from age six to about seventeen.

I have a bachelors in early childhood education and have spent 7 year teaching kids from 6 weeks old to 7 years old. I believe in positive feedback and understanding that each child learns in their own unique way.

I have been a tutor for almost 15 years, and I am passionate about empowering my students to achieve the best they can in whatever area of study they would like to. In my years of tutoring, I have taught Latin, math, English, and science, but I have specialized in SAT and ACT prep, encouraging my students to do the best they possibly can on these standardized tests, as well as on their normal coursework.
