About
I have over 7 years experience as an instructional aide at a middle school as well as 5 years as a language arts scoring supervisor for standardized tests. I have worked one-on-one or in small group settings with students of many different backgrounds and reading levels, and I am comfortable working with all ages from child to teen to adult. Moreover, I am committed to tailoring each pupil's experience to correspond with his or her interests and enjoyment in order to help reading and writing to become a desired activity as opposed to a chore!
Nothing makes my day like when I get to see the bulb light up above a student's head! Fostering a love of reading makes a lasting difference in one's academic/professional life as well as one's recreational life, and I am glad to facilitate that as much as possible.

I am a college graduate with a degree in philosophy. I have been a middle school instructional aide for 2 years, and have previously worked for five years as a scoring supervisor for essay writing and reading comprehension on standardized tests such as the ISTEP, WIDA, and many others. I enjoy working with students at all levels to help improve their writing and reading skills.
