Ismail's Science Tutoring
About
Hi there! My name is Ismail Asad. If you're struggling in biology, anatomy, or another science class, I would love to help you out! Concepts in science may appear difficult, but are often simpler than you think.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a near perfect gpa and have about 2 years of tutoring experience. I also have taught young children as well as high school and college students. Learning about science can really open your eyes to the amazing phenomena found in our universe!
So if you're interested in gaining a leg up in your science classes, I would be more than happy to help you on your journey!
I enjoy helping students gain confidence in their academic pursuit. Science can seem daunting at first, but can be exciting once it becomes clear!
The most important part is helping the student connect the dots between different topics, ultimately giving them the tools to master any science concept they encounter!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first ask the student about their current grade level (for ex. 9th grade, college freshman, etc.) and coursework they need help with. Then, I gain further information including specific scientific topics they need help with as well as future test dates.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a GPA of 3.95. I also have about 2 years of tutoring experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am flexible regarding pricing; I typically charge $25 per session.
How did you get started teaching?
During college, I noticed my passion for learning and I really wanted others to achieve their goals as well. I also love making the complex simple, further helping students grasp difficult concepts.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have tutored very young children (elementary) as well as high school and college students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to have all the material ready to present to the teacher so there is clear communication and a common ground to start off from! Biology is a vast field and covers many different topics.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What topic is most confusing to you? Is there a science concept that makes your mind go blank?
