My name is Sandra. I have 20 years of experience tutoring beginning reading through High School Math at Sylvan Learning Center. I have 20 years of private tutoring, both your home or mine, and 22 years of homeschooling experience. My degree is in Special Education and Elementary Education. I'm certified in the State of Illinois with 14 years of teaching experience in grades K-8. I tutor English and Writing. I hold a bachelor's degree in writing from Columbia College Chicago. I graduated in 2009 and started tutoring. I am a Christian, wife and mom of one girl. I'm also an author and I am working on my first film. I wrote the books Peels: How I overcame depression and learned to live again and How I became the mom I am and subtitled How God created us on Amazon.

I plan great lessons and really put forth time into trying to find the gaps within the children. Once I find the gaps I put together quality work to help improve my students work. I give assessments to see what they have learned and what they are still struggling with. I enjoy working with students on a daily basis. I believe the children are our future and they can be anything they want if they work hard. Each child deserves a great education and I plan on doing what I can to help children become successful!...
