I am able to help people of different learning styles and explain material in different ways to that students understand. I learn about how they learn and accomidate my teaching to help them excel.
It is so rewarding to see a student undersrtand material. They look happier less overwhelemed and are more confident. It gives them trust in themselves.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know them first. For me, it is important to have a relationship with the student so they feel comfortable. Next I learn a bit about how they learn and process information and try different techniques to see what they gravitate to most.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken a child development class and education class. I have also tutored and babysat before which has given me a lot of patience and understanding.

Usually about 25 dollars per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I would explain concepts to friends when they didn't understand material and gravitated towards teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementry school kids up until highschoolers, all with different approaches to learning.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a student on a difficult math concept. He was struggling so I tried to teach it in a different manner and he understood and was so proud and satisfied. I was happy to have made him feel so happy and accomplished.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you feel comfortable and that the teacher is encouraging and patient.
