What is your typical process for working with a new student?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored little kids around my town a ton. I would say I am good with little kids and dealing with them!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We can work things out. Usually I charge $25 per hour, but if needed, we can adjust pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
I took what I learned and decided it would be fun to help others and use my talents wisely.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have dealt with students who want to go up and beyond the average, and also with kids who are struggling.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There was a kid, who struggled greatly in math. He was falling way behind. I helped him out and did my best to get him to focus and think about the problems. We eventually got going and now he is all caught up.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for ones who are younger. They have most likely retained more information and remembered it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
He or she should think about his or her work effort. They need to think if they need a tutor because they simply do not understand the material, or if he or she is lazy and does not want to work. There is a big difference.
