Tutoring For Success

My business provides a solid foundation in phonics and word analysis skills. It also provides activities in sight word recognition and comprehension strategies. I use a wide variety of interactive activities including learning games, sensory activities and learning through crafts and puzzles. I believe learning should be a fun process so my approach is based on meaningful experiences that the child will remember.

I have been in education for 25 years. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education. My experience includes teaching first grade, substitute teacher paraprofessional teacher, preschool teacher, and ESL teacher for adult learners. I enjoy working especially with early elementary students. Their enthusiasm for learning is exciting and when they first begin to understand the concept of reading, a whole new world opens up for them. I love being involved in that process!
