Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm not a babysitter for homework...only work with those interested in learning. Interview with student and parents required and a one hour 'trial session' ($50) required. Student must come with questions/issues...I won't 'do it for them'.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Negotiable...I primarily tutor at the calculus level...$100 for 90 minutes. (At that level, 60 minutes isn't enough to get much accomplished other than 'task at hand').
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First and foremost....why haven't you asked your teacher? (don't waste your money) If teacher unavailable or unresponsive, contact me....I'll get you through....and you'll learn.
