About

Teaching is my passion! I love English but I love students even more!! In my 11 years of teaching experience, i have taught from freshmen to seniors. These courses include Grammar & Composition, World Literature, Creative Writing, British Literature, ESL, and AP Language and Composition. I have also led the reading, writing, and English sections of the ACT prep course offered at my high school. I am a google level 1 certified teacher and can enhance students' experience with technology. When I am not teaching, I coach 8th grade volleyball, advise Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and lead international trips around the world! I have been a private tutor the past two years and am always looking for new students I can connect with! My tutoring experience ranges from 6th grade reading comprehension to college entrance essay writing. Whatever your English goals, I am committed to helping you reach them!!

If remote learning during COVID taught me anything, it is how much I LOVE interacting with students. Tutoring gives me a chance to make a personal connection with students and provide personalized instruction. As much as I enjoy helping students reach their academic goals, I truly enjoy getting to know students as people, finding ways to make learning a joy for them as well!

I enjoyed my time working with Ms. B! Whenever I struggled with trying to flesh out a writing topic, she would give amazing ideas to write about. If I had any grammatical errors, Ms. B would give me clear directions about my errors and corrected. She would also work with me to resolve any issue my papers had, even if we both could not understand. Ms. B always made time to see me even though she was very busy. She is a hardworking and dedicated woman and very passionate when working with her students. I would recommend Ms. Bs services to anyone!! She was an amazing tutor!!!

Frequently asked questions

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Typically, tutoring sessions last an hour. I meet with students in person either in their homes or a public space. Some students I meet with weekly, but I also work with other students on an as needed basis (essay writing, test prep, etc.)
