I enjoy the fact that I am having a part in helping someone understand material that they previously thought looked intimidating. Once a person realizes math isn't something only Einstein's can grasp, they will be extremely eager to excel in any subject since mathematics is a core element in the vast majority of subjects.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
-Learn about the individual personally to understand what type of learner they are. Give a few test questions to see where their knowledge base lies. Set up a study plan to earn high ranking results in class or a particular test
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Advanced level of mathematics completed at the University level. Years of helping peers and younger students understand simple to complex material.

On a case by case basis. Depending on where I need to travel, the amount of attentive tutoring I believe someone needs, the amount of sessions that will be reserved.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best qualities a tutor can possess are adaptive teaching, patience, friendly/personable, and reasonable.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do I want to seek outside help? How can I improve on my own to get the most out a tutors session? Why is this material giving me such a hard time that I need outside help?
